I received an email from a parent . . .
I love playing PROLIXIA 3 even though it is designed for kids - BUT my 14 year old instictively backs away from it because he thinks it is still schoolwork & not 'cool'
So, although I know it will be beneficial for him . . . as the old saying goes "you can take a horse to water . . ."

Well, YES - half of the problem is that YOU are trying to take the horse there . . . why don't you get one of your younger kids (or one of his friends) to CHALLENGE him to a game - if he still refuses they might be able to goad him into playing.
If this doesn't work, handcuff him to the computer with every program wiped off except for PROLIXIA . . .

Geoff Mitchell developed the Board Game of PROLIXIA in 1987, when incapacitated from his job as a PE teacher.
The illness eventually caused him to take early retirement from this and his other passion of being an event coach to the Great Britain Decathlon Squad.
Since retirement he has written five books (under the pseudonym 'James Masters') and also spent two months in Bangkok coaching the Thai Decathletes and Hurdlers.
